All operators must demonstrate through theory and practical hands-on exposure, their ability to safely operate an Overhead Travelling Crane / Winch in their work environment(s) through Safe Work Practices and Procedures as a Competent Overhead Travelling Crane / Winch Operator in compliance with both the Occupational Health and Safety Act & Regulations stated under the CSA 167-8 Standards.Employers are responsible to ensure the operator(s) be provided the required instruction to demonstrate Overhead Travelling Crane / Winchoperation Safe Work Practices and Procedures under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
•Operation and safety features of the Overhead Travelling Crane / Winch the operator will use•Operator safety and all site specific safety issues at the work place•Pre-use inspection of crane, hoisting lines and rigging hardware•Written test (maybe retaken as necessary)•Workbook providedWhen written test has been successfully completed, operator(s) will be scheduled forpractical hands-on Overhead Travelling Crane / Winch operator training and evaluation at their work environment.
•Pre-operational inspection •Operating Overhead Travelling Crane / Winch in work environment This training program is tailored to industrial and warehouse customers, providing an excellent service with minimal work time interference.
